Sheriff Investigates Van Rollover Near Elgin

Authorities are investigating an accident that totaled a van in rural Fayette County.

At about 8:30am Wednesday (Oct. 17), the Fayette County Sheriff was summoned to the intersection of Golden Road and Edge Road, west of Elgin.

A van driven by 24 year old Donald Rumley of West Union, was headed north when he lost control, and the vehicle rolled into the ditch.

Injuries sustained in the accident were minor, however the 2008 Uplander was considered a total loss.

The Fayette County Sheriff continues to look into the incident.
