A Tripoli man has been arrested on multiple charges connected to a 131-mile-per-hour chase in Bremer County Tuesday night. (Oct. 16, 2018).

Sheriff's officials said Jacob Masker, 20, was driving 105 miles per hour in a 65 zone when deputies tried to stop his northbound vehicle on U.S. Highway 218 shortly after 10:30 PM. According to authorities, a pursuit began when the vehicle refused to pull over. The chase eventually ended near the intersection of County Road V-14 and 120th St., north of Horton.

Masker was then taken into custody on charges of second-offense operating while intoxicated (drugged), felony eluding, speed of 131 miles per hour in a 55 zone, and two stop sign violations. Officials said Masker was also wanted on a Black Hawk County warrant for second-offense OWI. He was booked into the Bremer County Jail.

Authorities said no one was injured during the chase.
