
Theft Investigation Uncovers Illegal Drugs in a Vehicle
A Marion man has been arrested for drug and other charges, in connection with a theft at a Manchester business.
On Monday, Oct. 8, Manchester Police received a call reporting a theft at Norby's Farm Fleet. When officers arrived, they reviewed the surveillance camera footage.
The suspect, later identified as 53 year old Dwayne Scritchfield, was stopped a short time later; the stolen items were still inside his vehicle.
Officers arrested Scritchfield, then obtained a search warrant for his car. Police uncovered the stolen property, plus illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Scritchfield was charged with Theft-2nd Degree, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
