Linn County farmers and landowners are invited to a hands-on estate and succession planning workshop on Tuesday, December 9, hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Linn County.

The session starts at 5:30 p.m. at 1770 Boyson Road in Hiawatha and includes dinner with registration.

The workshop is designed to help farm families protect what they’ve built and plan for a smooth transition to the next generation. Attendees will learn about:
Estate and transition planning options for farm operations
Business structures and tax considerations
Legal tools for inheritance and succession
Strategies for communicating plans within the family
The Workshop is Hosted by Iowa State University
The workshop is part of a statewide effort by Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation to help farm families navigate the complex process of transitioning ownership and operations.

Cost: $50 for individuals, $75 for couples (includes dinner and materials)
