The Fayette County Sheriff has arrested 2 Northeast Iowa residents on drug charges, after being called out to investigate a disturbance.


At about 6pm Friday (May 31), deputies responded to the 911 call reporting a disturbance in the 200 block of 1st Street NE in Waucoma.

During the investigation, officers found firearms, illegal substances, and multiple drug paraphernalia items.

After deputies conducted multiple interviews, 54 year old Gary Adams of New Hampton and 47 year old Jennifer Jacobson of Waucoma, were both taken into custody, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Adams and Jacobson were taken to the Fayette County jail and held until their initial court appearance.

According to the sheriff, the case is still under investigation and more charges could be filed.
