Ah yes, snow in March. Fun stuff, right? The record amount of snow to fall on March 15th in Waterloo is 9.5." That record was set in 1923 and I think it's safe that record will hold. However, it's quite likely that after this storm system rolls through, it will be the second-most snow to ever fall on March 15th as that amount currently sits at just 2" in 1913...

On Saturday morning (2/6) on I-94 near Milwaukee, a pickup truck skidded on some snow and ice, launched itself over the barrier wall of an overpass, and fell 70 feet. The video (below) appears to show the truck hitting a snowbank just before the fall...

The Iowa DOT Tweeted at 1:50 PM that a multi-vehicle crash involving numerous semi-trucks occurred on I-80 west of Newton. About 40 vehicles were involved in the crash.
