Sheriff Arrests West Union Man For Stealing a Vehicle

The Fayette County Sheriff has arrested an area man, after finding a vehicle that had been stolen in Winneshiek County.

On Monday (Sept. 28), authorities found a vehicle that had been reported stolen, 2 days before, on Sept. 26th.

After an investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested 29 year old Dakota Voves of West Union, on the charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Theft in the 2nd Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Voves is being held on $5,000 bond. The sheriff indicates that the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
