Iowa Cattlemen’s Association will be hosting a series of free educational programs in January and March 2022. These sessions will take place on January 26, 27, and March 3. Anna Hastert with the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association said the topics chosen to reflect a need that has been seen in the industry.

These first two panels, producer forums will have two different topics, one being risk management for cattle producers, and the other being a cattle market outlook.

The March, Hastert said the program will look a little different than it will in January.

Instead of the risk management presentation, we'll have a presentation on pre-breeding preparation for your cow herd.

You do not need to be a member to attend the programs. To attend, producers can call (515) 296-2266, and walk-ins are accepted.

Each program will include a meal, tradeshow, and industry update from the Cattlemen’s Association and Iowa Beef Industry Council along with the educational session.

It's always great to sit down, look at the years previous, what the challenges that we went through were, and where we've improved; but then also to look forward into the new year to see what's coming down the pipeline ways that we can improve.
