
Woman Injured In Fayette County Motorcycle Accident
Authorities are investigating a motorcycle accident that injured a southeast Iowa woman in Fayette County Friday afternoon (July 14, 2017).
Sheriff's officials said Victoria Ramaker, 55, of Mount Pleasant sustained head injures in the mishap. She was taken to the West Union hospital to be treated. Her condition is unknown.
According to sheriff's officials, Ramaker lost control of the northbound motorcycle when a vehicle in front of her slowed to allow another vehicle to make a left turn. Authorities said Ramaker laid the motorcycle on its side when she attempted to slow down, injuring her.
The crash occurred just before 2:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Iowa Highway 150 and N. Industrial Pkwy. on the southern edge of West Union, about one block from the sheriff's department headquarters.
