Waukon Man Accused of Pointing a Pistol at Another Person

A Waukon man has been put in jail for an incident involving a handgun.

On Sunday (March 17), the Waukon Police Department was called to a residence on Jean Road, on the report of someone pointing a pistol at another person.

Following an investigation, 25 year old Dustin Ward of Waukon was taken into custody on charges of Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, and Going Armed with Intent.

Ward made his initial appearance in Allamakee County District Court yesterday (Monday); the Magistrate issued a $5,000 bond, with 10% acceptable for his release.

The Allamakee County Sheriff assisted the Waukon Police Department in the investigation.
