
Waterloo Teenager Injured In Grundy County Accident
Grundy County sheriff's officials continue to investigate a two-vehicle accident that injured a Waterloo teenager Monday afternoon (Sept. 11, 2017).
According to a news release, Maryann Cutshall, 17, was hurt when she rear-ended another vehicle. Authorities said the other vehicle -- traveling in front of Cutshall -- had slowed to make a left turn when the mishap occurred.
Cutshall was transported to a Waterloo hospital for treatment, but officials didn't release any details on the extent of her injuries. The other driver -- Chad Chase, 42, of Aplington -- escaped injury.
The accident occurred around 4:10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Iowa Highway 14 and County Road D-17 (130th St.), about four miles south of Parkersburg.
