Waterloo Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident Near Epworth

A Waterloo man is identified as the motorcyclist killed in an accident in Dubuque County.

The accident was reported Monday night (Aug. 27), just before 8pm, on Highway 20 between Epworth and Peosta.

57 year old Dane King of Waterloo was traveling east on his motorcycle, while 17 year old Benjamin DeSollar of Peosta, was the driver of an eastbound car.

The vehicles collided; King was thrown off his bike. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, where he was pronounced dead.

The Dubuque County Sheriff continues to investigate the accident, and charges may be filed.
