Water Back on in Hazleton; Boil Order Remains

The City of Hazleton now has running water.

In Hazleton, where a water main broke early Monday emptying the water tower, the water main and sewer breaks have been repaired.

The city had been waiting for a locater to find the exact location of the break; the locater at the time was working in another community. Smith Excavating was then called in to fix the water main break.

Hazleton now has running water, although the water pressure will be low until the water tower gradually refills.

The boil advisory that was announced Monday, will remain in place until further notice.

Emergency management left bottled and gallons of water at City Hall for Hazleton residents.
