Tyson Parking Lot Accident Sends 1 to Hospital

An early morning traffic accident at a Waterloo industry has sent one person to the hospital.

It occurred at about 5:30am today (Tuesday) in the parking lot of the Tyson Fresh Meats plant, located on North Elk Run Road.

A vehicle apparently struck a pedestrian in the lot, along with another vehicle.

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was taken to Allen Hospital for undetermined injuries.

Waterloo Police are investigating.
