Authorities have released details on a two-vehicle accident that injured seven people in Fayette County on Saturday (May 6, 2017).

The crash happened around noon at the intersection of Iowa Highway 3 and G Ave., north of Aurora. Sheriff's officials said the vehicles collided when a westbound car, driven by Aulden Adams, 69, of Strawberry Point, attempted a left turn from the highway and entered the path of an eastbound caravan, driven by April Perry, 35, of Dunkerton.

Both drivers and five passengers were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein to be treated for their injuries. Adams, Perry and one unidentified passenger were later air-lifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Authorities did not release their conditions.
