Two More Area Summer Festivals Cancelled for 2020

As spring has rolled in, that means we're going to start seeing some summer town festivals forced with a difficult choice: proceed with summer events or cancel them due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two more area festivals have decided to go the cancel route.

• Strawberry Days 2020
• Vinton's Boomtown

Both events were scrapped in the interest of public safety, and like most other cancelled events, they both promise to come back stronger in 2021. Earlier in the month, we learned that Independence has cancelled their Fourth of July celebrations. Likely, we'll see more towns make their announcement in the coming days and weeks.
