Three area residents have been arrested by Oelwein Police on separate violations.
At about 7:30pm last night (Monday, Jan. 23), Oelwein officers checked for a man wanted on a Fayette County warrant. 32 year old Adam Nielsen of Oelwein was taken into custody for Failure to Appear in court, on an original offense of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

Just before 7pm Monday, officers were called to the 100 block of 5th Avenue SE on the report of a man acting in a suspicious manner. 41 year old Steven Troy of Oelwein was arrested for Disturbing the Public Quiet.

And shortly before 3pm Monday, Oelwein police responded to the ten block of East Charles on the report of a man acting in a concerning manner. 24 year old Jesus Martinez of Independence was taken into custody for Public Intoxication.

An Oelwein woman, 44 year old Leslie Ann Thornton, was cited by police Monday morning, for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered, in the ten block of 5th Avenue SE.

And an Oelwein man face a drug charge following an incident in the 1500 block of South Frederick Avenue. 66 year old William Gibson was taken into custody Friday afternoon on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Offense.
