Oelwein Medical Center Receives the Moderna COVID Vaccine
The fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic will likely turn in our favor as more and more Iowans receive one of the two approved vaccines. That day is coming.
The Oelwein Medical Center has received its first shipment of the Moderna vaccine to battle COVID-19. MercyOne frontline workers will begin to receive immunizations beginning tomorrow, Tuesday December 29. Residents living in MercyOne Oelwein Senior Care will be offered the vaccine in the coming days.
It's not expected the general public will be able to receive the vaccine until spring 2021 at the earliest.
