Northeast Iowa Bridge Closed Due to an Accident

Authorities are investigating an accident that closed down a Northeast Iowa bridge this morning (Friday, April 27).

The accident happened at about 3am on the Julien Dubuque bridge in Dubuque, which spans the Mississippi River and links Northeast Iowa with Northwest Illinois.

The Iowa DOT closed down the bridge after the crash; motorists were having to follow a detour.

Illinois authorities are investigating accident, as it happened on the Illinois side of the bridge.
