Upper Iowa opens its 2017 home football schedule with a match-up against No. 21 Minnesota-Duluth at Harms-Eischeid Stadium in Fayette on Saturday (Sept. 9). Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.

The Peacocks (1-0) opened the season with a dominant 44-7 win at Minnesota-Crookston on Aug. 31. Upper Iowa allowed just 226 total yards of offense, including just 95 through the air.

Minnesota-Duluth (0-1) is looking to bounce back from a rare season-opening home loss. The Bulldogs had their 22-game home winning streak snapped by Sioux Falls last week, when they fell to the Cougars 26-7.

Upper Iowa is seeking its first victory against Minnesota-Duluth since moving up to NCAA Division II. The Peacocks have dropped their previous six games against the Bulldogs, including a 28-24 setback in their most-recent meeting in 2015.

It's Youth and Educator Apreciation Day at Harms-Eischeid Stadium on Saturday, and Upper Iowa's five new Hall-of-Fame members will also be honored during the game. The new members, inducted Friday night (Sept. 8), include: Cindy Dell'Anno (softball and women's basketball, 1993), Brent Meyers (wrestling, 2003), Jesse Montalto (football, 2004), Mitch Walser (baseball, 2007) and Angie Weber (softball, 2006).
