NE Iowan Dies in Rollover in Allamakee County

We now know the name of a Northeast Iowa man, killed in a one-vehicle accident in Allamakee County.

It happened Sunday afternoon on Highway 76, south of Harpers Ferry. A car driven by 63 year old Mark Werner of Decorah, left the road, entered a ditch, then went back onto the road, into another ditch, and rolled.

Werner, the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to authorities, he was wearing a seatbelt.

The accident is under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff.
