NE Iowan Dies in Monday Morning Crash

Authorities have released the name of a Northeast Iowa man, killed in a Monday morning traffic accident.
It happened just before 7am Monday (Dec. 26), along Highway 151, east of Cascade in rural Dubuque County.

61 year old Daniel Melloy of Bernard was driving southbound, when the car went out of control and rolled into the median.

Melloy, who was not buckled-in, was ejected from the vehicle; he was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, where he was pronounced dead.

The accident was investigated by the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office.
