Local Men Arrested for Dispute, and Outstanding Warrant

Oelwein Police report that a local man has been arrested following an incident in downtown Oelwein Wednesday afternoon (March 13).

Police received a report of a dispute in the 100 block of South Frederick, just before 2pm Wednesday.

Responding officers arrested 53 year old Larry Shannon of Oelwein on a charge of Disorderly Conduct, a Simple Misdemeanor.

Oelwein Police have also arrested a resident on an outstanding warrant. Shortly after 11am Tuesday, 53 year old Chris Westendorf of Oelwein was taken into custody, on a Fayette County Warrant, for Failure to Comply With An Inpatient Treatment Program.
