Iowa Walmart Stores Plan To Hire Over 2,000 Employees

During hard times like these where people have lost their jobs due to quarantine, it's nice to hear about businesses that are hiring.

According to KWWL, Walmart has announced that in Iowa they will be hiring over 2,000 employees. Actually, they are hiring 150,000 new employees all the way through May and then their goal is to hire around 2,300 employees at stores, clubs, distribution and fulfillment centers in Iowa. This comes along with some other big news from them as well.

Walmart has also announced that they will be providing over $365 million in cash bonuses to all hourly associates employed as of March 1st and this will be payed by April 2nd. Also they will be giving the next scheduled quarterly bonus, which adds up to $180 million across the nation, a month early. Good news to hear among all the chaos that is happening now with the Coronavirus. Being able to give back to the communities and workers, Walmart is taking a step to support it's workers.
