Intoxicated Woman Caught Trying to Steal Medical Supplies

Fayette County authorities have filed charges against a Cedar Rapids woman, for stealing medical supplies while being treated for intoxication at a local hospital.

Shortly after 11pm Saturday (Sept. 19), deputies responded to a 911 call, seeking medical attention for a person at Volga State Park, four miles north of Fayette.

Arriving officers found 34 year old Mildred Angello of Cedar Rapids, intoxicated along Hill Road. Angello was taken to Gunderson Palmer Hospital in West Union for medical treatment.

While she was at the hospital, Angello was caught trying to steal medical supplies. She was arrested for Public Intoxication, and Theft-4th Degree.

Angello was held in the Fayette County jail pending her initial court appearance.
