Slick road conditions near Fayette contributed to the cause of a one-vehicle accident that put an area woman in the hospital.

The Fayette County Sheriff was called to a traffic accident at about 11:30am on December 3rd, on 150th Street, west of the city of Fayette.

Deputies determined that a westbound pickup, driven by 80 year old Ellamae Nading of Fayette, went out of control when it hit an icy patch on the road.

The truck went into the ditch, where it rolled onto it's top.

Nading was taken to the West Union hospital to be checked over for injuries. Her 1998 Chevy S-10 was totaled.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
