Five Arrested In Fayette County Drug Investigation
Five people have been arrested on charges connected to alleged illegal drug activity in Fayette County.
Sheriff's officials said authorities searched two homes in Clermont on Wednesday, following a month-long investigation. With assistance from the Iowa State Patrol, warrants were executed at 401 Union Street and 801 Spring Street.
The following suspects were taken into custody:
- Ashley White, 32, of Clermont - charged with possession of controlled substance (Marijuana)-second offense, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and drug paraphernalia.
- Luke Lembke, 31, of Clermont - charged with gathering where controlled substance is unlawfully used, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and marijuana)-first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Shannon Thompson, 40, of Clermont - charged with gathering where controlled substance is unlawfully used, possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine and marijuana)-second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Alexander Carlson, 24, of Postville - charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)-third offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and third-degree burglary.
- Jordan Kline, 19, of Clermont - charged with gathering where controlled substance is unlawfully used, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetimine and marijuana)-first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All five suspects were transported to the Fayette County Jail after their arrests. Sheriff Marty Fisher said the investigation is ongoing and more people could be facing charges.
