A West Union motorist faces charges after a traffic stop early Wednesday (July 10).

At about 12:30am, a Fayette County deputy pulled over a car in rural Fayette County. After an investigation, the driver, 46 year old Holly Bohr of West Union, was arrested on charges of Operating While Intoxicated-2nd Offense, Driving While her License is Suspended, and Having an Open Container of Alcohol as a Driver. Bohr was held in the Fayette County jail until her initial court appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff was summoned to Starmont School on the report of an assault. At about 10:30pm July 8, a 15 year old male juvenile was charged with Assault Causing Injury. He was released to his parents, and referred to juvenile court services.

And shortly after 9pm July 7th, the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of an accident involving a deer. It happened on Highway 56, south of Elgin. 80 year old Glen Boie of Hawkeye struck the deer when it ran out onto the road. No one was hurt, but Boie's vehicle had $4,000 in damage.
