Two people were killed in a Black Hawk County accident on Sunday.

According to sheriff's officials, the single-vehicle crash happened around 9:30 AM at the intersection of Zaneta and Eldora Roads, southwest of Hudson. When they arrived at the scene, deputies found a red Subaru in a field on the south side of County Road D-35 (Zaneta Road). Authorities said it appeared the vehicle had rolled several times.

Two people at the scene were pronounced dead by the Black Hawk County Medical Examiner, sheriff's officials said. The victims were not immediately identified.

The accident remains under investigation.

Black Hawk County sheriff's deputies were assisted by Hudson Police, Hudson Fire and Ambulance and Mercy One Air Care.
