Oelwein Police Arrest Local Man on Warrant

Oelwein Police have arrested a local man, on a warrant from Buchanan County, concerning a driving violation.

Shortly after 6am Sunday (July 14), following an incident in the 10 block of 5th Street NW, officers took 29 year old Zachary Moser of Oelwein into custody on a Buchanan County warrant; the original charge was Driving While License is Suspended.

And the Oelwein Police Dept is investigating reports of 2 thefts; the first was called in to police at about 7:30pm Friday in the 200 block of 5th Avenue SW, and the other was received at about 2:30pm Sunday in the 700 block of 5th avenue SE. Both incidents remain under investigation.
