
Fayette Sheriff Cites New Hampton Driver in Accident
A New Hampton driver is being charged with causing a traffic accident in Fayette County.
The sheriff's office received a report of a two vehicle accident on Wednesday, May 20th, at the intersection of 242nd Street and Quarry Road, north of Hawkeye.
A westbound pickup driven by 35 year old Matthew Abbas of New Hampton collided with a southbound car driven by Teresa Louck of West Union.
Louck was taken to the West Union hospital for treatment of injuries; her 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix was totaled.
Abbas was not injured. He is charged with Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and Right of Way.
