Arrest of Suspicious Person Walking Near Clermont

The report of a suspicious person walking in Fayette County, has resulted in an arrest.

At about 12:30am Monday (May 25), the Fayette County Sheriff's Office got a report of suspicious activity on Great River Road, about 2 miles west of Clermont.

Responding officers took 29 year old Joshua Woodward of Clermont into custody, on a charge of Simulated Public Intoxication.

Woodward was taken to the Fayette County jail where he was held until an appearance before a magistrate.

A Minnesota man has been arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff, on a warrant for illegal drugs.

On Sunday (May 24), 37 year old Damien Reinsvold of LaCrescent, Minnesota was taken into custody on a valid Fayette County warrant for the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, First Offense.

Reinsvold was being held in jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond, pending his initial court appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office.
