Fatal Motorcycle Accident Near Lone Tree

An eastern Iowa man has died in a motorcycle accident in Johnson County.
It happened at about 11:45am Thursday (Nov. 17) on Highway 22 near Lone Tree.

66 year old Patrick Moore Jr. of Iowa City, was riding his motorcycle eastbound, when he tried to pass another vehicle.

Moore lost control, went into the ditch and struck a fence. He was thrown off the motorcyle. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
