Employee Interrupts Burglary at Local Radio Station

Oelwein Police are looking for those responsible in breaking into the KOEL studios building in the 2500 block of South Frederick Avenue in Oelwein.

Police were called after the perpetrators were interrupted by a station employee at about 4:30am this (Thursday) morning.

The suspect fled through an office window.

There was some damage to a window and a door, and it was found that a few items were stolen.

Oelwein Police took a report of the attempted burglary and continue to investigate.
