Drivers, be Aware: Deer Continue To Cause Damage to Cars
Whitetail deer that wander out onto Northeast Iowa roads, continue to cause extensive damage, colliding with moving vehicles.
The Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a car/deer accident Friday evening (Nov. 16), on 60th Street, near Oran. A car driven by 57 year old Brenda Lauer struck a deer on 60th Street. No one was injured, but damages to her 2018 Chevrolet Malibu totaled $7,000.
And Thursday night on Harding Road, east of Clermont, a pickup driven by 25 year old Steven Yoder hit a deer that entered the roadway. No one was hurt, but Yoder's 2007 Ford F-150 had $5,000 in damages.
