The Iowa State Patrol is investigating an accident in rural Delaware County, involving an anhydrous ammonia tank.

It happened at about 9:30am Wednesday (April 13), west of Dyersville on County Road D-22.

A pickup pulling an anhydrous tank, driven by 73 year old Paul Palmer of Manchester, was slowing to make a left turn into a farm drive, when the tank was rear-ended by an SUV driven by 48 year old Kimberly Althoff of Dyersville.

The tank was damaged but did not leak any anhydrous.
Althoff was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque for treatment; Palmer was not injured.
