Driver Dies In Grundy County Crash

Authorities are investigating a one-vehicle fatal accident in Grundy County.

According to sheriff's officials, a westbound vehicle on U.S. Highway 20 drove off the right shoulder of the road and entered a ditch, then struck a fence and tree. The crash occurred about two-and-a-half miles west of Iowa Highway 14 at mile marker 193 just after 9 PM on Saturday (June 16, 2018).

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's officials said. They didn't immediately identify the victim, pending notification of relatives.
