Two Northeast Iowa men face charges after a recent altercation resulted in a car being shot with a shotgun.


The incident happened at about 5am last Saturday (Sept. 21)in Military Township in rural Winneshiek County. According to the sheriff's office, 46 year old Aaron Trezona of Ossian and 44 year old Richard Tessmer of Postville, got into an argument, that became physical.

During the altercation, someone's Ford Escort was damaged by a blast from a shotgun. No one was reported injured.

Trezona is charged with Assault Causing Serious Injury, Reckless Use of a Firearm, and Criminal Mischief.

Tessmer was cited for Harassment.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff investigated the incident.
