Charges Filed After Oelwein Traffic Stops

An Oelwein man has been arrested on several charges following a traffic stop. Shortly after 3:30pm Tuesday, Oelwein police pulled over a car in the 700 block of 6th Street NW. The driver, 32 year old Jeffrey Scarberry, was arrested for driving while his license is suspended, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without valid registration.

42 year old Christine Stone of Oelwein was taken into custody at about 6pm Tuesday, in the 500 block of Highway 150 South. She was charged with OWI 2nd offense.

And Oelwein Police received a report Monday evening of an alleged shoplifter at a business in the 100 block of 2nd Street SE. Authorities issued a juvenile referral for robbery 2nd degree to 17 year old Troy Griffith of Oelwein.
