Cause of NE Iowa House Fire is Unknown

Authorities are investigating the cause of a weekend house fire in Oelwein.

Firefighters were called out at about 2:30pm Saturday, to the Mike and Mandy Walker home, located on 5th street NW.

The blaze began in the second story of the house, where firefighters were able to confine it.

No injuries were reported, but damage was extensive.

The origin of the fire has not yet been determined.
