Blast and Fire Destroy Old Sports Car in Waterloo

Authorities are looking for the cause of a fire and explosion in Waterloo last night (Wednesday) that resulted in the destruction of a sports car.
Firefighters were called out just before 8pm to a home in the 400 block of Ricker Street.

An older model Chevrolet Corvette had exploded and caught fire behind the house.

The Corvette was totaled; no one was injured.

The car, which had not been in use for some time, had recently been vandalized.

The cause of the blaze and explosion are under investigation.
