Area Truck Driver Charged in 2 Vehicle Accident

A Peosta truck driver is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident in rural Dubuque County Wednesday afternoon.

It happened shortly after 2pm at the intersection of Highway 61 and Skyline Road, near Key West.

A semi driven by 34 year old Aloysius Pfab was in the process of making a left turn, when he drove into the path of a truck driven by 55 year old Elafaterios Schwarts of Dubuque.

Schwarts and his nine year old passenger were treated for minor injuries at Finley Hospital in Dubuque.

Pfab, who was not hurt, was charged with failure to yield when making a left turn.
