A northeast Iowa man has been identified as the victim of a deadly one-vehicle accident in Dubuque County.

It happened at about 12:30am Tuesday on Highway 52 at Durango.

A car driven by 60 year old James Ernzen of Luxemburg went off a curve and struck a concrete retaining wall.

Ernzen was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passengers, 56 year old Mary Ernzen and 20 year old Robin Ernzen, both of Luxemburg, were taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. Mary was then transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City. A condition report was not available.

The Dubuque County Sheriff is investigating the accident.
