A Northeast Iowa motorist is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident in rural Fayette County this morning(Tuesday, Jan. 31).


The Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call at about 9am, concerning an accident near the intersection of Kornhill Road and "J" Avenue, just southeast of Fayette.

47 year old Raymond Wheeler of Fayette was driving east, when a pickup driven by 49 year old Daniel Howard of Maynard, pulled out of a driveway, attempting a turn on Kornhill, when the 2 collided.

No one was injured, but Wheeler's 1993 Ford F-250 had $5,000 damage, and Howard's 2005 Chevrolet Silverado had $15,000 damage.

Howard is being charged with Failure to Yield When Entering a Highway.
