Area Man Busted for Trying to Enter Another’s House

A northeast Iowa man has been arrested for allegedly trying to get into a local home without permission.
Shortly after 5pm Saturday (Dec. 10), the Fayette County Sheriff took a report of a man attempting to enter a house in Clermont.

When deputies arrived, they found the subject, 58 year old Mark Gingerich of Clermont, walking up the street.

He was subsequently arrested on charges of Public Intoxication, and Criminal Mischief-5th Degree.

Gingerich was held in jail until his initial court appearance.
