Another one bites the dust at the dilapidated Crossroads Center Mall in Waterloo. This time it's Christopher & Banks. Headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota, the company announced it had voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in a press release. Christopher & Banks specializes in women's clothing and, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier, they will be closing 400 of their stores.

Christopher & Banks operates 23 total stores in Iowa and 451 locations nationwide. The press release cites the impact of COVID-19 as a significant reason for the action and the ceasing of operations. Also mentioned, the U.S./China trade war and,

According to the Courier article, the Waterloo location will be selling all its store fixtures, and online sales will continue with discounts found at a store level not being honored for online purchases.
