American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Donations Highest-Ever in 2013
The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture relies on donors to fund its initiatives to have an agriculturally literate society - according to Foundation Chairman Bob Stallman. Thanks to generous donor contributions - Stallman says 2013 was a remarkable year of building awareness, understanding and a positive perception of ag through education. Donations in 2013 were the highest-ever in a calendar year - totaling 1.8-million dollars. The Foundation’s focus continues to be volunteer engagement in local communities to foster a deeper understanding of food, fiber and energy. For 2014 - the Foundation has planned urban outreach events, building partnerships in the STEM area, Spanish translations of materials and creation of additional assessment guides for educational resources.
