Alcohol-Related Violations Result in Weekend Arrests

Fayette County authorities report the arrest of four people over the weekend, in separate incidents, but all involving alcohol.

At about midnight Saturday (Oct. 28), a Fayette County deputy observed a man acting suspiciously in the city of Fayette. After an investigation, 26 year old Jonathan Kluever of Davenport was arrested for Public Intoxication-1st Offense.

Shortly after 1:30am Saturday, the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call, reporting a fight at the Elgin Tap in Elgin. Responding officers charged 28 year old Justin Yoerger of Waukon with Public Intoxication-3rd Offense. The incident is still under investigation and more charges are pending.

At around 11:30pm Saturday, a Fayette County deputy stopped a suspicious vehicle in the city of Fayette. The driver, 33 year old Stephen Boyd of Florida, was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense.

And just after 2:30am Saturday, a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation, just north of Elgin. The driver, 25 year old Alexander Lopez of Postville, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense, and Driving Without a Valid Driver's License.
