Accident at Convenience Store Leads to Arrest

A Fayette man has been arrested following an accident at a local convenience store.

Shortly after 4pm Tuesday, the Fayette County Sheriff was called to a single-vehicle property damage accident at The Pumper convenience store in Fayette, in which the driver then fled the scene.

An investigation indicated that 60 year old Tommy Lippart was the driver of the vehicle. He was located, and arrested for operating while intoxicated 3rd offense and driving while his license is suspended.

The amount of damage done in the accident was not released.

The Fayette city police department assisted the sheriff.
