Farm Journal Media announced on Thursday December 7, 2017 that long time agriculture radio talk show host Mike Adams is stepping away from the mic after 16 years on AgriTalk.

AgriTalk is the most listened to agricultural radio talk program.  Broadcasting weekdays from 10 to 11am CST on radio stations nationally.  Created in 1994 with then host Ken Root, the one hour syndicated program welcomed Adams as a host in 2001.

Effective January 2, 2018 AgriTalk will begin with it's third host, Chip Flory.  Flory is the host of Market Rally, a sister show to AgriTalk that is broadcast weekdays from 2pm to 3pm.  Market Rally is also a one hour sydicated agriculture based program.  Flory will host both shows.

We wish Mike Adams the best and we know this is not the last we will hear from Mike.  Chip Flory is a positive voice for agriculture and we know he will grow into the shoes Mike is leaving behind.  2018 has a fresh start for AgriTalk but it is with a familiar voice.

Let me close with part of the note I sent to John Herath, producer at Farm Journal for AgriTalk "I am dumbfounded, happy for Mike, happy for Chip.....but it's like my big brother has moved out of the house".

Tune in for Agri Talk and Market Rally daily on AM 950 KOEL.
